The Art of Enough: How to “Make” Peace Without Pretending

  • Alluvita Health + Wellness, The Clinic, Upper Arlington 3220 Riverside Drive Upper Arlington, Ohio, 43221 United States (map)

The holiday season is practically a laboratory for exploring “not enough” or “too much.”

Not enough time. Not enough money. Not enough energy. Not enough patience. Not enough family—or perhaps too much family. Too many invitations. Too much food. Too many expectations.

The end of the year has a funny way of showing us all the places where we think we should be doing, giving, feeling, or being more. Or not enough. Cue the internal “should” machine.

Join Elizabeth Miller of Reden Yoga Therapy for an evening of conversation, reflection, and simple embodied practices as we explore a different possibility: this is enough.

Together, we’ll explore the yogic concept of santosha, or contentment, and consider what it might mean to make peace without pretending that everything is peaceful.

During our time together, we’ll:

  • Land — arrive in our bodies and in the moment

  • Notice — explore our “more” and “not enough” stories

  • Discern — consider what is actually ours to do and what is enough

  • Choose — practice meeting the season without pretending

  • Launch — identify one small thing we want to do—or not do—from here
